Trash Preparation

Residents place their bins (one for trash and one for recycling) outside of their front door during the two-hour time window before collection begins with all bags securely tied. If you have more than one bag, place one bag on top of the other, inside your container. Bags must hold contents securely. Loose items that will not fit in the bag like pizza boxes can be placed next to the receptacle if they are not leaking or could cause staining.

Trash Pickup

Our clean cut, uniformed service professionals will arrive at your community and will maintain the cleanliness of your community while going door to door, collecting the trash to be properly disposed of in the community dumpsters or receptacle. We provide services one to five days a week, depending on the needs of your community. Just pick what works best for you!

We offer flexible scheduling options, including weekly, twice a week, up to five day a week services. You can choose the frequency that best suits your needs.  

Yes, Trash Fetchers is fully licensed and insured in the state of Delaware. 

No, they don’t need to be home. As long as we have access to the hallway outside the units and they have left their trash bin by their front door by the scheduled time, we can perform our services and take care of the mess without any disruption to your or your resident’s schedule. 

We optimize our routes daily to keep services efficient and affordable. While we can’t guarantee exact times, we’ll always arrive on your scheduled day in the service window. You’ll get an alert the day before and an “on the way” message 30-60 minutes before we arrive. Special requests? We’ll do our best to accommodate

We provide the community electronic fliers outlining the doorstep service guidelines and our customer service contact information. 

We do not collect hazardous material, furniture, bulk items, anything with broken glass, or anything biohazardous. 

We service all of Delaware and surrounding areas in PA, NJ and MD.  If you’re unsure whether we work in your area, please contact us, and we’ll be happy to assist you. 

You can request a preferred pickup day, and we’ll do our best to accommodate it based on your location and our routes. We’re here to make it as convenient for you as possible. 

We use only pet-friendly products and methods to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents furry friends.  

Signing up is easy! You can either fill out the contact form on our website, call us directly at (302) 396-9876, or email us at support@trashfetchers.com. We’ll get back to you quickly to arrange your first service. 

We recommend booking at least 24-48 hours in advance to ensure availability, but same-day pickups may be available depending on our schedule. 

Our service pros are equipped with leakproof totes and carts to collect and dispose of the trash. 

When uncontrollable events like weather-related issues, natural disasters, or other serious situations occur, Trash Fetchers management will proactively communicate with you to ensure you’re aware of any situations that may impact service for your community.  Trash Fetchers will email and/or call the community Maintenance Director or Property Manager to notify them of the service suspension. 

Yes, collection may be delayed due to these and other holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve. Holidays push our pickup schedules back one day with regular schedules resuming the following week. 

Trash Tips

  • No loose trash 
  • Double-bag all pet waste 
  • Bags must hold contents securely during transport, without ripping or leaking 
  • No broken glass or sharp objects 
  • No oversized items (e.g. furniture, appliances, large unflattened boxes, etc.)  
  • Contact your community manager if you have bulk items such as furniture pieces, or boxes of old kitchen & household items, etc.
